Acer Aspire 5755 and Aspire 4755 Multimedia Notebooks Posted: 27 Jul 2011 03:00 AM PDT Acer brings two new multimedia notebooks for entertainment, the 15.6-inch Aspire 5755 and 14-inch Aspire 4755. They have a classy design and glossy cover with attractive stripy pattern modulated in several colour options. Acer’s new notebooks are powered by second generation Intel Core processors (Sandy Bridge). The Aspire 5755 and Aspire 4755 come with CineCrystal LED-backlit display and offer HDMI output for bringing HD experience to bigger screen and optional Intel Wireless Display (WiDi) technology. They pack up to 8GB of DDR3 memory, up to 1TB hard drive and DVD burner (optional Blu-ray drive). You can expect WiFi and optional Blueooth 3.0 connectivity as well as multi-in-1 card reader, Dolby Advanced Audio v2, HD webcam, built-in microphone, and support for clear-fi media sharing interface. Microsoft announced two new accessories for Xbox 360, the Xbox 360 Wireless Headset with Bluetooth and the Xbox 360 Media Remote. The former works not only with Xbox 360 but also with mobile phones and PCs (Bluetooth mode). It has a microUSB port for charging and comes with several ear adapters.
The Xbox 360 Media Remote supports media playback control of the gaming console. It can also control power on/off, volume up/down, mute and TV input of your TV. The Media Remote includes also A, B, X, Y buttons, D-pad navigation, back and select buttons. Both of the headset and the remote will be released in November. The Xbox 360 Wireless Headset with Bluetooth will be priced at $59.99 and the Xbox 360 Media Remote at $19.99. Related Posts

Gaming peripheral maker Razer showcases its Switchable concept portable gaming device powered by Intel’s Atom platform. The portable device is designed to allows gamers to play on the go without giving up the precision and control ordinarily possible on a desktop gaming system. Measuring 172mm x 115mm x 25 mm, the Switchblade has a 7-inch multitouch display and a actile dynamic keyboard that adapts and changes on the fly with the games being played.
Razer’s Switchablade is powered by an Intel Atom Z690 running at 1.70 GHz and will run Windows 7 OS. It supports WiFi and 3G connectivity and includes mini HDMI, USB 3.0 and headphones and microphone connectors. Related Posts

InFocus adds two new models, the IN1110 and IN1112, to its IN1100 Series, the company's smallest and lightest projectors. The former features 1024×768 XGA resolution and up to 2100 lumens brightness while the IN1112 has 1280×800 resolution and 2200 lumens brightness. Both DLP projectors have 2600:1 contrast ratio.
The IN1110 and IN1112 both provide HDMI input allowing easy connection to “popular devices such as the iPad 2, iPhone, Android and Windows-based tablets.” They are 3D capable and feature closed captioning, 5-segment color wheel, and 16.7 million colors. You can also find built-in 1W speaker. In addidion to HDMI, the IN1110 and IN1112 has VGA, S-video, composite and USB connectors. The price is $975 for IN1110 and $1099 for IN1112.

Accell launches its MHL to HDMI adapter (model J135B-001B) for use with mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets featuring MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) technology. The adapter is designed to connects MHL-enabled devices to an HDMI supported HDTV, projector or display. It plugs directly to the (MHL-enabled) USB 2.0 Micro-B port of a MHL enabled device and with the use of an HDMI cable, users can connect the MHL to HDMI adapter to their HDTV. Sony expands its S-Frame line with the new HD Series frames that not only shows images but also include Full HD 1920×1080/60p video playback capability. The HD Series includes 10-inch DPF-HD1000, 8-inch DPF-HD800 and 7-inch DPF-HD700. All of the have LED-backlit LCD display. The 10-inch model has WSVGA resolution while the other two models have WVGA screen. AVCHD and MP4 video formats are supported.
The DPF-HD1000, DPF-HD800 and DPF-HD700 comes with 2GB internal memory. They are equipped with an advanced image processor that scales and displays content up to 192 Megapixels, making these frames capable of handling footage taken with even the most advanced digital cameras or HD camcorders, including Sony’s Alpha (A-mount/E-mount), Bloggie, Cyber-shot, and Handycam family of products. They have room for up to 40 songs (in MP3, AAC or PCM format) allowing you to enjoy background music while viewing photos or watching slideshows. The S-Frame HD Series digital frames offers USB port, and SD, SDHC, SDXC Memory Card and Memory Stick PRO Duo card slots for loading digital images. Sony announced its new Cyber-shot DSC-TX55 digital camera with a slim and stylish design. The new camera packs a 16.2 Megapixel Exmor R CMOS sensor a 5x optical zoom lens. The TX55 features the By Pixel Super Resolution technology to deliver up to 10x Clear Image Zoom without losing quality at the image sensor’s maximum resolution.
The Cyber-shot DSC-TX55 offers SteadyShot image stabilization with Active Mode; seven Picture Effect options including HDR Painting, Rich-tone Monochrome, Miniature, Toy Camera, Partial Color, Pop Color and Soft High-key; and Intelligent Sweep Panorama mode for taking up to 42.9 megapixel panoramas. It includes 3D Still Image capture mode for shooting 3D photos without the need for a bulky stereoscopic lens as well as 3D Sweep Panorama mode and Sweep Multi Angle.
